HEALTH WARNING BEFORE YOU START to handle chemicals

For people who work with the chemicals discribed in this website and do not know the risks or have been exposed to them and can not find any treatment.
For the people who have no way out or do not like toxic medicines.

For a list of toxicity look it up in one of the databases mentioned underneath.
If you cannot find your cas-nr or compound, try to locate the trade company who sold the product. They will have an MSDS on it. Contaminations, even in very small amounts, are sometimes only known to the factory who delivered the raw chemicals to the company who made the product out of it you buy. These contaminations are not listed in the MSDS (too low concentration).

Companies sometimes do not give the fine details. I.e. photographic chemicals are not very toxic, but combinations of spilled developer and fixer are.
In waterbased alkyd paint (and probably any paint and anything that releases a vapour) there are substances that can effect the eyes seriously.

You find nothing about this in the product health file of the company.

Here you find some links for self healing.

Please note: I am not a doctor and may not give any advice on medications or healing programs to be used because if I do so, I will be handling unlawful. You always have to contact your doctor if you can follow a certain program because you might have a condition you are unaware of that might become worse or cause a lot of damage. E.g. if you have a severe liver condition it is better to watch out to do a liver flush, if you can do it at all.

The general basics for these health links are: restoring organ functions. Colon cleanse, kidney flush, liver flush, blood detoxification are the main topics. The basics for a good general health is a reasonable amount of fresh fruit and vegetables on a daily basis and the right type of fats and enough exercise.
Note: none of the described health improvement methods is the only right one, the one and only, the perfect one. Together they give enough information to make a good choice yourself. It is probably better to inform yourself before buying lots of expensive food supplements or have an expensive treatment done.

If you look for information based only on hard medical facts / research, than there are a number of products and protocols that have been tested and prooven in the same way as the 'natural identical' (synthetic) products of the farmaceutical industry. You'll find this information at Russel Blaylock MD, Dr Rath, Dr Mercola and Dr Sandra Cabot.

'Health and Nutrition Secrets that can save your life' by Russell Blaylock, M.D. Neurotoxic doctor / brain surge who proves with a lot of bio technical and hard medical evidence that fresh fruit and vegetables (without herbicides, pesticides and fungicides) give the best protection to keep the body in a healthy condition. Elektro-acupuncture, homeopathy
There are some doctors or natural healers who practice electro-acupuncture. There are also a centers that offers a combination of electro-acupuncture and homeopathy. The advantage of these treatments is that with a device a resistance of the body to a certain compound is measured. By using this method a good elektro-acupuncturist can determine the treatment to excrete toxins out of the body. People with severe diseases and immune deficiencies have been cured by using this method.
Via your doctor or a doctor who practices also homeopathy or natural healing you can obtain addresses of electro-acupunctursists.

Personal protective garments for the painter & printer
Inside: filtered compressed air under overpressure via hose to mask + light suit (your skin breathes too). A compressor is expensive, a filter set must be replaced regularly and be treated according to the specifications. You can inform if this is what you are looking for e.g. by Dräger.
www.draeger.com

A full face mask indoors with A1P3 or A2P3 is not comfortable. Your jaws are constantly under pressure during a days work. Maybe there are newer types that do not have this problem. Because you have to replace your filters every day, this is also expensive in usage.
For the 'new' water based paints (Netherlands): use always gloves and eye protection, preferably with closed sides and with a screen that doesn't fog too easy.
Protective garments e.g. from your safety store.

Business with disease
‘Death by Medicine', medication and wrong treatment first death cause in the U.S. http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2004/mar2004_awsi_death_01.htm

Dr. Mercola's Comment: One of the most prominent articles on this site (mercola.com) is 'Doctors are the Third Leading Cause of Death'. Well that article was written in 2000 and now it appears that, based on a variety of references noted in the below article, some from prior to 2000 some after, doctors are in fact the LEADING cause of death in this country. Not heart disease, not cancer--doctors. In all fairness, doctors themselves are not to blame for all of this. The entire modern health care system, however, is to blame for allowing, even promoting, so many unnecessary procedures, drugs and mishaps. This illustrates precisely why the system is so desperately in need of change, and why facilitating this change is, and will continue to be, such a substantial portion of my vision.

3.List of recognised occupational diseases
European Comission document 3297 -download
This means that other diseases are not recognised as an occupational health disease. If there is no physical evidence or no research done that proves a certain compound caused your disease, there is no way to get hard juridical evidence you'll need to build a case. Why do you need that? If you are a professional and become disabled by chemicals and cannot prove indefinitely these chemicals caused the disease, your insurance for occupational disablement (if you have any) will be unlikely to pay. If you have hard evidence however most insurance companies do not reward more than 30% of the cases (in a good case) and in the worst case only 15% of the cases with enough hard evidence to go to court. This is based on a research report of the dutch ombudsman. You can download it here (in dutch). All in all a good reason to take care of your health by yourself.
